Gone are the days of using conventional molds which are awkward and uncomfortable causing the patient to gag and leaving behind a bad taste. Our office has invested in the latest in digital impression technology, the iTero Element digital impression scanner, currently the best available scanner in the world. The iTero technology makes taking impressions simple, fast, easy and most importantly pain, chemical and gag free!

This innovative technology uses optical scanning to digitally capture the surface and contours of the teeth and gums.

iTero and Invisalign

Dr. Singh is a certified Invisalign provider since 2006. The iTero technology is exclusively linked to the Invisalign software. This allows Dr. Singh to design more precise Invisalign treatment and improve patient comfort during the impressions phase. The iTero Invisalign partnership has also created a treatment simulator so that patients can visualize what the results of their Invisalign treatment will look like within seconds after the scan is done. They can see their before and after smile side by side on the screen making it easy for them to understand their treatment.

CAD CAM Same-Day Crowns

The process of crowning a tooth starts out the same way, whether it’s a same-day crown or traditional crown: with “preparation” of the tooth. This involves removing any decay that’s present, and shaping the tooth so that it will fit perfectly inside the crown. But the similarities end there.

If you were getting a traditional crown, you would go home with a temporary crown until your permanent crown comes back from the lab. This typically takes two weeks and you have to make a second appointment.

Digital Nitrous: Oculus

Dr. Singh is keen on looking at how new technology can be incorporated into the dental industry. With the addition of Oculus VR technology in our office we can offer an alternative to traditional nitrous for those patients with dental anxiety. Oculus VR offers an immersive digital entertainment experience which helps the patient relax and entertained during their dental procedure.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide is a gas, and is commonly known as happy gas or laughing gas. Giving nitrous oxide is a way to help reduce a patients pain and anxiety during dental treatment. The gas is given through a small nosepiece, and you will be awake throughout the procedure. Patients usually recover within five minutes from the effects of the gas after their dental treatment has been completed.

Microscopic Saliva Analysis

Our trained hygienist will take a sample of your plaque on a microscopic slide prior to your cleaning. The doctor will then evaluate the kind of bacteria present in your plaque, microscopically, which the patient is able to view on a large monitor. Just like the gut, oral bacteria can be good and bad. The doctor will discuss the findings and advise on simple ways to populate healthy bacteria in your mouth that you can do at home. Healthy oral bacteria can significantly reduce the risk of diseases related with inflammation such as diabetes, dementia, cardio vascular accidents and even stroke.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays allow us to capture clear and precise images of the patient’s mouth for a more complete and accurate diagnosis. Images are captured in an instant, making the process more comfortable for patients compared to traditional film x-rays.

One of the biggest advantages to digital dental x-rays compared to traditional technology is the fact that they expose patients to 90% less radiation.
